New Leadership for Product and Platform Strategy

Forex and CFD broker Born2trade has confirmed the arrival of Mateusz Żelek in the newly created role of Chief Product & Platform Officer. The appointment was announced by Żelek himself on LinkedIn on Monday, where he stated his enthusiasm for taking on the position with the broker.

Żelek brings a career that spans foreign exchange dealing, broker support, dealing operations, business development, and senior executive management. His most recent role was chief executive officer of RoboMarkets Polska, a Warsaw-based operation he led for approximately two years before departing. Prior to that stint, he spent roughly six years at Match-Trade Technologies, the software provider behind several retail trading platforms. He entered the company as a Broker Support Junior Specialist and progressed to Deputy Head of Dealing and Broker Support, a position he held for more than four years.

Earlier in his professional journey, Żelek worked at Ebury for just over a year in a Business Developer capacity based in Warsaw. His career began at eFinco sp. z o.o., where he spent around two years serving as a foreign exchange dealer in the Warsaw metropolitan area. The new appointment at Born2trade represents a shift from general executive management toward a dedicated product and platform remit.

Expanding the Trading Toolbox for CFD Clients

The timing of the hire coincides with a rapid expansion of Born2trade's product suite. In July, the broker introduced prediction markets on its Match-Trader platform, enabling clients to trade event-based contracts in parallel with the CFD instruments already available on the book. The module was supplied by Match-Trade Technologies, the same infrastructure provider with which Żelek has a long professional history.

Beyond prediction markets, Born2trade has layered in additional third-party technology to broaden its offering. The broker launched a copy trading service built on Brokeree Solutions' Social Trading system, allowing retail users to mirror the positions of selected traders. Its core platform stack also includes MetaTrader 5 alongside a proprietary trading interface developed on Match-Trade's infrastructure.

For CFD traders, the combination of event-contract products, social/copy trading, and familiar multi-asset CFD execution on both MT5 and a bespoke platform signals an attempt to compete on breadth of instrument access and social features rather than on price alone.

Regulatory Standing and What Traders Should Note

Born2trade operates under a licence issued by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius and is registered in Saint Lucia. Traders considering the broker should be aware that these are offshore regulatory regimes, which carry different capital and redress protections compared with tier-one authorities such as the FCA, ASIC, or CySEC.

The addition of a dedicated product and platform officer, combined with the recent rollout of prediction markets and social trading, suggests Born2trade is investing in differentiating its technology stack. For active CFD traders, that may translate into more instrument types to trade and new ways to execute strategies, though the usual risks associated with CFD leverage, offshore regulation, and the relatively new prediction-market product category remain in play.
